Laser Facial

Laser Genesis Skin Therapy is used to improve redness on the face (rosacea) /neck and chest and to improve skin texture, diminish pores and fine wrinkles.

Laser Genesis uses non-invasive laser treatment to achieve new collagen production and this improves the support of the small blood vessels and helps to delay the development of more fine veins.

Unlike harsher methods, this is done without destroying the upper layers of skin (non-ablative). A course of four to six treatments at two to four week intervals produces the best benefit.

If you have acne scars on your face or body, no matter how you got them, it can have a seriously detrimental effect on your self-confidence; everyone wants to be able to look in the mirror and feel happy and comfortable with what they see reflected there.

Laser treatment for acne scars has come on leaps and bounds in recent years and can be used on any skin type, removing the need for surgery and meaning you can throw away that thick makeup forever. It works in a really simple way – pulses of laser light break down the scar tissue and stimulate new, healthy tissue to form in its place. Quick and easy, it’s a straight forward procedure and you shouldn’t need any recovery time afterwards.

Laser acne scar removal treatment can be used on surgical or acne scars anywhere on the body, including the face. It also works on any skin type, including both very light and very dark skin. We’ll tell you at your initial consultation whether you’re a good candidate or not.

How does  laser acne scar treatment work?

Laser removal treatment for acne scars works by focusing fractional pulses of laser light to break down the scar tissue and help generate new tissue in its place, the same colour as your other skin and even in texture. Depending on the size of the area being treated, it can take as little as 40 minutes and you should feel only minimal discomfort. If you’re worried about the pain, just ask – we’ll be able to advise you on the best way to manage things.

You will, of course, need more than one treatment to be sure of the best results – for most people, three to five is usually enough. You won’t need any downtime post-procedure, so you should be able to carry on with your day right away.

After care

Immediately after your treatment, you may see some swelling or redness at the treated area, but it should start to go down after a few days. If you have any other concerns, ask at your consultation and we’ll answer any questions you may have.

Getting wrinkles is a natural part of life, but that doesn’t mean you have to keep them once they appear.

Laser treatment can effectively treat fine lines and wrinkles around the forehead, mouth, neck, chest, around or under the eyes, and any other place on the body. As we get older our skin dries out and loses elasticity, also becoming thinner over time. The skin also becomes less able to protect itself from being damaged by environmental such factors as the sun.

Older skin is less resilient to the harmful effects of UV rays so in order to prevent wrinkles, you should limit your exposure to sunlight. Sun damage is cumulative and builds up over time, but if you’re worried about wrinkles it’s never too late to slap on the SPF 50! Light-skinned people also tend to develop sun damage more easily, so if you’re fair you may wrinkle earlier than darker-skinned people.

You can also limit wrinkles by quitting smoking – smokers get more wrinkles due to a reduced supply of oxygen to their skin. It’s never too late to give up, even if the wrinkles have already started to set in.

How Syneron Galaxy laser wrinkle reductions works

Collagen and elastin depletion in the dermis results in loss of the dermal volume, presenting as lines, wrinkles, laxity and sagging in the skin.

The eMax system procedure stimulates long term collagen synthesis as well as the tightening of existing collagen fibers, giving an immediate firmed or tightening appearance. fine lines and superficial wrinkles appear smoothed out and softened as a result of the tissue tightening and contraction from bulk heating.

Laxity of the brow, jowls, neck and cheek areas is improved from immediate tissue contracture, and may continue to improve whit the delayed collagen remodelling response.

The eMax system is indicated for non invasive treatments.

You’ll see results after just a single treatment. Whereas everyone’s skin is different, and some wrinkles will respond to the laser better than others, we guarantee you’ll be delighted with what you see in the mirror post-treatment.

While very deep wrinkles cannot be erased altogether, they can be significantly improved by laser treatment, becoming much less visible than pre-treatment. Laser treatment encourages the skin to rapidly produce collagen and elastin, smoothing the skin’s surface and taking years off your appearance without invasive surgery. You also won’t need any downtime – your skin might be a little red for a few hours after the treatment, but it’ll fade quickly.

Treatments take as little as 15-30 minutes and you can be on your way right away.

What to expect from your treatment

The number of laser wrinkle treatments you’ll need varies dependent on the size of the area being treated and the severity and depth of the wrinkles. We’ll be able to give you a better idea at your initial consultation. It’s virtually painless so you needn’t worry about being in any discomfort.

When your treatment is over, your skin may be red for a few hours but this will soon fade. There’s no recovery time, you won’t need any time off and you can get on with going about your day right away. You can be treated as often as every two weeks if you’d like.

In order to get the best results, you should avoid the sun for four weeks prior to your treatment. You should do the same for four weeks afterwards, although if it is sunny and you need to go out, you should wear a high SPF sunscreen and avoid being out for too long.

For 48 hours after your treatment you should also avoid baths and showers that are too hot, saunas, swimming pools, creams, body lotions, perfumes or any restrictive clothing that covers the treated area.
